RemoteTube only accesses and collects YouTube playback data from your active browser tabs when you use the extension. This includes:

The collected information is transmitted securely (via HTTPS) to our Vercel API backend solely to synchronize the playback state in real-time with your paired mobile remote device. This data is not stored permanently and is never shared with third parties.

3. Local Storage

We use local storage (chrome.storage.local) to save your unique device identifier (deviceId) and pairing configuration locally on your computer. This information remains on your device and is used only to maintain the remote connection.
